In the early spring, Viñas will be joining an extensive roster of artists for an outdoor festival of opera and musical theatre classics. Performances include two debuts, one as Marchese d'Obigny in Giuseppe Verdi’s La Traviata and a musical theatre debut in a concert production of Leonard Bernstein’s timeless West Side Story in the role of Bernardo.

Taking place in Kallio-Kuninkala, Finland, Viñas will be spending 10 days in the Finnish countryside collaborating with various student composers, singers, a string players on performing new works created for this event. Featured faculty include composer Kaija Saariaho, baritione Daniel Belcher, and cellist Anssi Karttunen. In addition to the new works that will be premiered, works by Saariaho will also be performed at a cumulative concert at the Helsinki Music Centre on August 25th.
With an invitation to return to Miami Music Festival, Viñas will be making a return performance of Count Almaviva after debuting in April 2019.
